In our region, the most commonly grown ornamental perennial is the large-flowered Asian ranunculus, which is only mildly poisonous. Ranunculus tubers are planted in spring or autumn in loose, nutrient-rich soil. Ranunculus appreciate frequent watering and a bright place with sunlight. The deep to vivid colors of ranunculus are the reason for their popularity – they are sold in yellow, orange, red, or pink. Ranunculus are often used in wedding bouquets, which our florists usually create in soft shades of pink, cream, salmon, or light purple.
